WELCOME TO
Kwentong Dagat
Hello There,
Tucked away in a little fishing village is Kwentong Dagat, a beach resort created to serve as a backdrop for the stories we want to share to ourselves and to our community
Around us, the land with it’s ash gray beach that turns almost white during the afternoon with the agoho trees that locals say didn’t exist before mt. pinatubo’s eruption in 1991 is a testament to how destruction can lead to beauty
Kwentong Dagat opened it’s doors to the public in April 2019 – for alternative retreats, get togethers, parties and weddings with a difference – a sweet coming together of people in this magical part Zambales
Kwentong Dagat is a collaboration of sorts. We are here because Nature called us here. Inspired by our travels and our culture, our nipa cabins were born — a charming modern-day version of the quintessential Bahay Kubo.
We’re not a luxury resort by any stretch but we have comfortable air conditioned accommodations that will make you feel right at home with a touch of that simple provincial vibe that only nature can provide. We find that people warm to this complete lack of five-star formality
While guests will be self-catering, given ample space and privacy, we’ll also be around to make sure everything’s okay. You’ll also find that we’re a very friendly, helpful bunch

“What’s drawing more beach lovers like me to Liw-liwa is this relatively new place to stay in the neighborhood called Kwentong Dagat. It features charming Bali-inspired cabins and serves delicious vegan food”- Desa Tayting of When in Manila
“Overall, I can say that this is one of the loveliest places I discovered in Zambales. I had a relaxing stay where I get closer to nature and awesome people who loves the environment more than I do” -Mariel Pares
“Cannot describe how much I love my stay in Kwentong Dagat! I love the hippie/Bali vibe, they have maximized the accomodation, the food is SUPER SARAP and they do dinner set up as well.”- Trace Suzara
